A dating app that respects your time
Hearty started with a simple complaint: dating apps had stopped being fun. Nine out of ten people we spoke to said the same thing — too much swiping, too little meeting.
Why we built it
Modern dating apps are designed to keep you in the app. Vanity metrics go up, but real dates go down. We wanted the opposite: a product that pushes you out of the app and into a coffee shop, a gallery, a walk around the park.
So we capped matches. We added verification. We gave every conversation a starting point and made reporting a two-tap action. Nothing complicated — just the things that make a match turn into a meeting.
What we believe
- Fewer, better. A handful of good matches beats a deck of strangers.
- Verified by default. If someone isn't real, nobody has a good evening.
- Intent is not a dirty word. You're allowed to say what you want.
- Safety is a feature. Not a policy page, not a promise — a product decision.
